Andrew Benintendi Heating Up At The Plate
6 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi finished Thursday's win over Detroit with two doubles, a run batted in and a run scored. The 24-year-old has nine hits in his last 24 at-bats (.375 average) with seven RBI and five runs scored. In the month of April he's slashing .329/.398/.534, including seven doubles, a triple and two home runs. This comes at a time when the Red Sox have won five of their last seven games, scoring 40 runs in the same stretch. His .298 expected batting average, .522 expected slugging percentage and .385 expected wOBA are all encouraging signs that Benintendi is hitting his stride right now and owners need to take notice. Boston has six more games on this homestand, three apiece with the Rays and Athletics. Ride out this tear he is on and lock him into your season-long lineups, while he is also a great DFS option against right-handed pitchers.
