6 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi has been solid to begin 2019 with 12 hits in 52 at-bats, including three extra-base hits and five runs batted in. However, the 24-year-old has yet to hit a ball out of the park. Jockeying between the one and two spot in the lineup, Benintendi hasn't been squaring balls up. His average exit velocity thus far is 86.7 mph, the second lowest of his career, while his launch angle is 14.3, which falls as the second highest of his career. He'll face Toronto right-hander Aaron Sanchez on Thursday before entering a four-game home series with Baltimore. Sanchez has been solid through 11 innings of work this year, but over his career he has a 14.2 percent HR/FB against lefties. Look for Benintendi to find his groove heading into this weekend and jump start a struggling Red Sox team.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
