3 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi (rib) took several swings in batting practice Sunday. The workout "was modified and controlled, but it's a positive sign about his health," according to MLB.com's Anne Rogers. Benintendi went on the 10-day injured list three weeks ago with a right rib hairline fracture. His timetable for a return is still unknown, but the update is good news for his fantasy managers and signals that Benintendi can be picked up in leagues where he was dropped. The 26-year-old was having a solid season before the injury, slashing .283/.340/.429 with eight home runs and 31 RBI.--Josh Friedman
