6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi (foot) is sore and unlikely to play in Monday's game against the Baltimore Orioles, manager Alex Cora said on Sunday. However, he reiterated that Benintendi's injury is not looking like a long-term issue. He suffered a right foot contusion during Sunday's game after fouling a ball off of his foot, but X-rays were negative. Outfielder Blake Swihart came on for the injured Benintendi on Sunday and might draw the start in the wraparound game on Monday morning, which is Patriot's Day in Boston.--Daniel Dobish
