6 years agoLos Angeles Angels left-handed pitcher Andrew Heaney will miss his next spring training start with left elbow inflammation. He underwent an MRI, which ruled out ligament damage, and he will be cleared to throw once the swelling subsides. Spring training injuries are never fun, but rarely should they be taken too seriously. However, Heaney has a serious injury history, having only thrown 27 2/3 innings since 2015. If healthy, he will be in LA's six-man rotation next season, but his injury history and 7.06 ERA from last year make him not worth owning except in the deepest fantasy formats.--patton
