Andrew McCutchen Continues Strong Spring
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Andrew McCutchen went 1-for-3 with a run scored in a Spring Training game against the Tigers. McCutchen is now slashing a cool .310/.394/.517 through 33 Grapefruit League plate appearances. 'Cutch isn't the player he once was, but at 34-years-old he's still a fine fantasy option as the leadoff hitter for a good Phillies lineup. Last season he put up 32 runs and four steals while blasting 10 homers, a 27 homer pace over a full season. McCutchen isn't the most exciting player to draft in fantasy, but his solid-yet-unspectacular production makes him a strong value near his average draft position just inside the top-200 picks.
