Andrew McCutchen Homers Twice In Blowout Win
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Andrew McCutchen went 2-for-3 with two homers, four RBI and two walks in a 17-3 win over the Reds on Tuesday. Man, did McCutchen need a game like this as the veteran outfielder has struggled mightily this season and was recently dropped from the leadoff spot in the batting order. The 34-year-old is batting just .209 this season, but he's still getting on base at a healthy clip thanks to a 15.3 percent walk rate. Fantasy managers, however, need more than some extra walks and McCutchen's power production, like his .401 slugging percentage, isn't going to get it done in fantasy. He can be left on waivers in the majority of formats.
