Andrew McCutchen Joins Brewers
3 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers have agreed on a contract with free-agent outfielder Andrew McCutchen on Monday. The details on the signing haven't been released, but it's likely a short one- or two-year deal. The veteran outfielder hit .222/.334/.444 with 27 home runs and 87 RBI for the Philadelphia Phillies last season. All of the outfield spots in Milwaukee are likely taken already. However, the designated hitter spot is available, which is likely where McCutchen will spend most of his time. On paper, this is a good landing spot for the former MVP. He still has some pop in his lumber, but he doesn't run anymore, making him more of a target in deep mixed leagues.
