7 years agoMaking his major league debut, San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Andrew Suarez went 5 1/3 innings. Suarez allowed four runs, but looked good and struck out seven batters. He also didn’t issue a walk during his outing. Suarez is worth a look in NL-only leagues and worth monitoring in deeper leagues. However, owners should be aware that Suarez may not be up for too long, as the Giants are expecting Johnny Cueto (ankle) and Jeff Samardzija (pectoral) back soon and still have Madison Bumgarner (hand) expected back in June. Suarez will be competing with Tyler Beede, Ty Blach and Derek Holland to keep a rotation spot when Samardzija, Cueto and Bumgarner come back.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
