4 years agoBoston Red Sox right-handed pitcher Andrew Triggs was placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday’s contest versus Miami, paving the way for Tanner Houck to join the active roster and make his first big league start. Triggs is dealing with radial nerve irritation in his pitching arm, likely ending his 2020 campaign. In three appearances (two starts) with the Red Sox, Triggs allowed three home runs in seven innings, striking out seven batters. He becomes the latest member of the Boston pitching staff to hit the IL, thereby zapping the team of even more consistent pitching.--Jesse Borek
