6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Andrew Triggs (shoulder) will have thoracic outlet surgery on Sept. 26, and it will be performed by Dr. Gregory Pearl in Dallas, Texas. Triggs was 3-1 with a 5.23 ERA with 43 strikeouts in just nine starts for Oakland in 2018. The right-hander also finished the year on the disabled list in 2017. These types of surgeries are tough to come back from, so Triggs won't be a lock to contribute in 2019.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
