Andrew Vaughn Dealing With Hip Discomfort
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Vaughn (hip) left the Cactus League game on Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers with right hip discomfort. Vaughn had to be carted off the field after making a diving catch in the fourth inning. It's usually not good when a player is carted off the field, but the actual severity of his injury is unknown. The 23-year-old is hitting .429 through his first six games of spring training action and was set to be a nice late-round target in fantasy drafts. Vaughn struggled against right-handed pitching in his rookie year and hit .235/.309/.396 with 15 home runs, 48 RBI and 56 runs in 469 plate appearances. But he has plenty of power and the potential to be a four-category contributor in his sophomore season, if healthy.
