3 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman/outfielder Andrew Vaughn (face) left Friday's game early with a facial contusion. Vaughn hit a double in the top of the sixth, but was hit in the face on outfielder Chas McCormick's throw to second base. Vaughn initially stayed in the game, but would exit in the bottom of the eighth inning. Vaughn finished the evening 1-for-3 and was replaced by Adam Engel. Vaughn is day-to-day and it wouldn't be surprising to see him get Saturday off.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
