Andrew Vaughn Hits First Home Run
4 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman/outfielder Andrew Vaughn hit his first career home run in Wednesday's victory versus the Minnesota Twins. Vaughn was 1-for-4 with three runs scored, two RBI and one walk on the evening. Vaughn hasn't shown the power that many expected yet, but he has hit .293 over the past month. Vaughn profiles as a power hitter that can help with average and he is now hitting .257 with five RBI. Manager Tony La Russa has finally been giving the rookie everyday opportunities and managers in all formats should continue to be patient with Vaughn. The power should come with Vaughn hitting the ball well and his upside is too good to not be rostered in all formats.
