4 years agoChicago White Sox first base prospect Andrew Vaughn will make his big league debut and bat fifth versus the Los Angeles Angels on Friday. Vaughn is best served as a first baseman or designated hitter, but will be in left field with Eloy Jimenez (pectoral) sidelined. Vaughn doesn't have much experience in the outfield, but finished spring by getting many reps in left field. The former fourth overall pick in 2019 has a unique blend of contact to go along with power and should be rostered in all formats. Managers will also want show patience as the prospect could be worth the wait in the long run. Utilityman Leury Garcia will move to the bench with Vaughn getting the start and can be avoided in all formats.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
