2 years agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Andrew Velazquez will keep the shortstop job once infielder David Fletcher (hip) returns from surgery on both of the adductor muscles in his legs. Velazquez isn't doing anyone any favors with his batting average -- he's hitting just .193 (27-for-140) on the year -- but he is in the top 10 in the American League in stolen bases with eight in 44 games for the Halos. The 27-year-old switch-hitter batted .224/.235/.358 with one home run, six RBI and four stolen bases in 28 games with the New York Yankees last year. With the shortstop job locked down in Anaheim, Velazquez is worth rostering in deep mixed and AL-only leagues for his speed alone.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
