3 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Andy Dalton, who signed a one-year deal worth up to $6 million on Tuesday, made it clear that he won't be competing for the starting job in New Orleans. "This is Jameis' thing and I'm here to help him out any way I can," Dalton said. The Saints announced earlier on Tuesday that quarterback Taysom Hill will be focusing his efforts on a move to tight end in 2022, so Dalton was brought in to be Jameis Winston's primary backup under center. In eight games (six starts) for the Chicago Bears last year, Dalton threw for 1,515 yards, eight touchdowns and nine interceptions for a passer rating of 76.9. He was a three-time All-Star earlier in his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, but Dalton won't be of much use in fantasy if he's making starts at any point next season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
