5 years agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton is viewing his one-year deal as a chance to set up the second half of his career as a starter, while doing what he can to help the team in the backup QB role this season. Dalton knows the Cowboys are Dak Prescott's team, but in a conference call with reporters explained how the opportunity to be coached by Mike McCarthy and try and help Dallas with a championship was a great chance to learn and try and land a starting job next offseason. Dalton is a three-time Pro-Bowler, but the Bengals moved on from him after selecting Joe Burrow first overall in this year's draft after three-straight losing seasons. He won't carry much fantasy value riding the bench, but dynasty owners should be patient as we've likely not seen the last of Dalton as a starter in the NFL.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
