Andy Dalton's Long Touchdown Salvages Day
3 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Andy Dalton completed 11-of-17 passes for 146 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the team's second preseason game against the Bills. The final numbers look relatively solid but the Bears offense struggled again with Dalton at the helm. Chicago has three-and-out's on their first three drives and could not get the running game going. The veteran passer salvaged a frustrating performance with a beautiful deep pass to receiver Rodney Adams in what turned into a 73-yard touchdown before the half. The coaching staff may continue to stick with their commitment with Dalton as their QB1 for Week 1 but rookie Justin Fields is narrowing the gap quickly.
