6 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels acquired right-handed reliever Deck McGuire in exchange for cash or a player to be named later. McGuire will report to Triple-A Salt Lake. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Angels designated catcher Juan Graterol for assignment. McGuire has a 6.48 ERA and a 1.68 WHIP on the year but had been pitching well as a starter in Triple-A. The Angels will likely use him as starting pitching depth at Salt Lake while they recover from a myriad of injuries. Don't expect him to carry much, if any, fantasy relevance.--patton
