Angels Won't Trade Shohei Ohtani
2 years agoThe New York Yankees were among a few teams that made serious offers for Los Angeles Angels two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani, but there is now no chance the Angels will part with him after listening to offers. The San Diego Padres and Chicago White Sox are among other teams known to have tried for Ohtani in recent days. It now appears interested teams have moved on with the understanding the Angels are keeping the versatile megastar. Angels owner Arte Moreno is believed to be unwilling to part with Ohtani, especially with Mike Trout and Anthony Rendon currently injured. Ohtani has another year remaining before he'll be eligible for free agency, so perhaps they entertain more serious trade offers for the Japanese star next year.
