Anibal Sanchez Removed From Nationals Debut
6 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez was removed from his debut for the team against the Philadelphia Phillies due to injury. Sanchez first received attention from trainers after fielding a comebacker off his leg in the third inning. The trainers also came out during his fourth-inning at-bat but Sanchez still remained in the game. Finally, after going out to the mound for the fifth, Sanchez was checked on again and pulled for Matt Grace. Sanchez allowed four runs in four innings and will take a no-decision. For now, his next start is at Philadelphia, where he should be benched even if he pitches.
