Another Hitless Day For Pete Alonso
3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 0-for-4 with a walk and three strikeouts in the Mets latest lethargic 5-3 loss to the Phillies on Saturday. Alonso is now hitless in his last five games, having gone 0-for-15 with eight walks over that span. Over his last seven games, Alonso is slashing a paltry .083/.313/.208 with just one home run and one RBI in 24 at-bats. The entire Mets offense, including Alonso, is in a brutal tailspin right now. Despite his struggles, fantasy managers in seasonal leagues are unlikely to have a comparable replacement to insert into lineups to replace Alonso. As such, managers should continue to keep Alonso active. The struggling Mets will face Zack Wheeler and the Phillies on Sunday, making Alonso a good fade in DFS formats.
