3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Anthony Alford went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox. He took Aaron Bummer deep in the seventh inning to reduce Chicago's lead 5-2. It was his second long ball of the season. Since returning from the injured list on August 24, the Pirates outfielder is slashing .250/.286/.600 with two home runs, three RBI over seven games. Alford is the team's every day left fielder but hasn't produced enough to be considered anything more than a flier in deep-league formats.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
