4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Anthony Alford (wrist) is back in the lineup on Wednesday against the Rays, where he will be playing in center field and batting sixth. Alford had exited Saturday's game early after being hit by a pitch, but he appeared to be swinging the bat well in practice over the past few days. He is considered one of the front runners for the starting job in center field, where he will try to tap into his 10-homer, 20-steal potential that he has flashed throughout his career.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
