3 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers hired former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn as the team's assistant head coach. He is expected to have a vital role in the team's offense and rushing attack. The 53-year-old spent four seasons with Los Angeles as the team's head coach from 2017-to-2020 and spent last year as Detroit's offensive coordinator. This is great news for San Francisco's 49ers skilled position players. His offenses and backfields have produced some of the highest rushing totals in the league over the past decade. Lynn will bring plenty of experience and should fit right in with Shanahan's offense.
