Anthony Rendon Goes 4-for-5 in Nationals Win Wednesday
7 years agoWashington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon had his first four-hit performance of 2018 on Wednesday afternoon, finishing 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles in the Nationals 11-2 rout of the Rays. Rendon set season highs with four hits and four runs scored while tying his season bests with two doubles and three RBI. It was a good bounce-back performance for Rendon, who had been hitting .205 over his previous 10 games entering Wednesday, and he had only one hit over his previous 17 plate appearances. Fantasy owners will hope that this will be the performance to break Rendon out of his slump, as he plays next on Friday at home against Andrew Suarez and the Giants.
