5 years agoWashington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon hit two home runs in Tuesday's 7-5 loss at the Chicago White Sox. He hit a two-run shot in the first inning off of starter Manny Banuelos and a solo shot in the ninth off of closer Alex Colome, ending the day 2-for-4 with a walk. His season line improved to .320/.422/.655 with 14 homers and 46 RBI in just 53 games. Rendon deserves much better than his current fifth place standing in the National League voting at third base, as he might be neck-and-neck with Nolan Arenado for best in the NL at that position. Rendon's dominance in the batter's box easily extends into fantasy.--Nathaniel Green
