3 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon went deep for the first time this season during Tuesday's 4-3 victory over the Miami Marlins. He ended up going 1-for-4 with a run and two RBI. Rendon's been struggling at the plate to start the year, slashing .118/.211/294 with six strikeouts over his first four games. Last year, the 31-year-old dealt with multiple injuries, including a season-ending hip ailment. Rendon didn't look himself when on the field, as he hit .240/.329/.382 with six home runs across 58 games. It's too early to tell if his hip is still bothering him, though it was reported last month that he was feeling completely healthy. There's still hope that the career .286 hitter can reverse his trajectory, but fantasy managers should monitor Rendon's play moving forward.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
