Anthony Rendon Out Again
6 years agoWashington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon is not in Saturday's starting lineup against the San Diego Padres despite playing on Friday. It is the fifth game in Washington's last six that he has missed since being hit on his left elbow. Howie Kendrick is batting third and playing third base and should be a solid DFS option against left-handed San Diego starting pitcher Eric Lauer. There is no sign yet that Rendon will need an injured list stint, and having played Friday would push back how soon he could return from the IL, so the Nationals may just be playing it safe. Updates will be forthcoming if that changes.
