Anthony Rendon Remains Out Of Lineup On Wednesday
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (triceps) was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Oakland A's. Rendon left Monday's game against Oakland after he appeared to get injured on a diving play in the fifth inning. Despite missing his second straight game, the Angels continue to list Rendon as day-to-day. With the 32-year-old's timetable still up in the air, fantasy managers should sit tight until the Angels give more information about Rendon's long-term status. Infielder Phil Gosselin is starting at the hot corner and batting seventh on Wednesday and is facing Oakland Athletics left-hander Cole Irvin. Gosselin is hitting .294 (20-for-68) on the season, but he has just five doubles and one homer, so there isn't a ton of daily upside here.
