Anthony Rendon Says He's Completely Healthy
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (hip), who had season-ending right hip surgery in early July of last year, said on Wednesday that he's completely healthy and ready for the season. Rendon also battled injuries to his groin, knee and hamstring last year, but he was cleared for baseball activity in November and hasn't had any setbacks since. The 31-year-old played in only 31 games in 2021 and hit .240/.329/.382 with six home runs and 34 RBI, which is far from what fantasy managers expected of him. Rendon said his hip injury prevented him from rotating his hips, which in turn affected his results when he was on the field. With better health, Rendon could easily bounce back in his third year in Anaheim.
