6 years agoWashington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon hit a three-run home run while going 1-for-3 with two walks in Washington's 12-9 win over the New York Mets on Sunday. It was Rendon's fourth bomb in the last five games, giving him a .433/.528/.967 line so far in 2019. Obviously, no one hits like that over a full season, but this could be a career year for Rendon that delivers strong surplus value for where he was drafted this season. His four home runs lead all third basemen so far this young season. The Nationals visit Philadelphia and host Pittsburgh this week for three games each, giving Rendon a good chance at continuing his strong start.--Nathaniel Green
