7 years agoWashington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon (foot) is not in the lineup on Saturday after leaving Friday's contest with a foot injury. Matt Reynolds is taking his place and batting eighth. Rendon is in substantial pain after fouling a pitch off his foot, but it looks like a trip to the DL won't be necessary. The Nationals can't afford to have him gone for too long. He's been a solid hitter during their terrible start to the season. He's slashing .286/.355/.766 with one home run and four RBI. He broke out in 2017 and, considering how young he is, could potentially be one of the great third baseman in all of baseball.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
