7 years agoWashington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon (toe) is scheduled to start a short rehab assignment with the Carolina League's Potomac Nationals on Thursday. According to manager Dave Martinez, Rendon will either spend one or two days with the P-Nats before being recalled to the big club. This means that Rendon could be back in action by Friday and will be back by Saturday at the latest. Fantasy owners who spent, on average, a fourth-round pick on Rendon this spring will be glad to have this productive hitter back in the lineup. Weekly leaguers should plan on activating Rendon for next week.--Phil Goyette
