Anthony Rizzo Exits Early On Sunday
3 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo left Sunday's contest early with lower back tightness. Rizzo was replaced on defense at the start of the bottom of the fourth inning and was replaced in the lineup by infielder Sergio Alcantara. Rizzo has a history of back issues and has missed time during two different stints this season. The upcoming free agent is hitting .248 on the season with 10 home runs, 32 RBI and four stolen. Rizzo remains day-to-day for now. If Rizzo misses time, second baseman/outfielder Ian Happ and outfielder Jake Marisnick are likely to see an increase in playing time.
