Anthony Rizzo Gets Going With Three Hits
4 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo broke out in a big way on Sunday versus the Atlanta Braves. Rizzo went 3-for-4 with a pair of singles and a triple on the afternoon. Rizzo has been off to a slow start, but raised his OPS from .597 to .708 with the strong performance. Rizzo has always been a streaky hitter, but has recorded seven hits over his last 14 at-bats with three walks. He is now hitting .229 with one home run, two RBI and a pair of stolen bases. The power hasn't been there yet for the first baseman, but managers shouldn't worry about that with Rizzo's track record. Rizzo will look to keep it going against the Braves on Sunday.
