4 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo had a solid day at the plate Wednesday, going 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in an 8-8 tie against the Seattle Mariners. The home run was Rizzo's first hit in five at-bats to begin the spring, but he should settle in as March continues. Rizzo was also hitting leadoff in this game, which he only did 13 times in 2020, so this will be something to monitor moving forward, as his opportunities to score runs will dramatically increase from this spot in the lineup. However, center fielder Ian Happ is the most likely candidate to hit leadoff for the Cubbies for the majority of the season.--Kipp Heisterman - RotoBaller
