Anthony Rizzo Remains Out Of The Lineup Tuesday
2 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners. He will miss his fifth straight game due to lower-back tightness. The Yankees are "being cautious" with Rizzo and will rest him for another game. According to manager Aaron Boone, he will go through a full workout on Tuesday, and if that goes smoothly, he could return to the lineup Wednesday. DJ LeMahieu will continue to handle first base duties while Rizzo is sidelined. The 34-year-old has been locked in at the plate recently, hitting .385 (15-fo-39) with three home runs, five RBI, five walks and eight runs over his last nine games.
