Anthony Rizzo To Wear Walking Boot
5 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo (ankle) will be in a walking boot for five to seven days. Rizzo underwent an MRI on Monday and was diagnosed with a lateral right ankle sprain. Rizzo will be re-evaluated when he sheds the walking boot and more should be known about his return after that process. Catcher Victor Caratini is at first base Monday and could see more starts there with Rizzo sidelined. Ian Happ could also see more playing with Rizzo sidelined. Caratini is hitting .282 with 10 home runs and 32 RBI this year and isn’t a bad option in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues.
