6 years agoThe Chicago Cubs will activate first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back) from the 10-day disabled list prior to Tuesday’s game versus the Cardinals. Rizzo missed a little over a week with back tightness, but manager Joe Maddon said he could have played a few days ago if he was eligible. The time off should serve Rizzo well and the hope is that it will prevent Rizzo from having anymore issues in the future. Owners should be ready to roll with Rizzo. First baseman Efren Navarro is the most likely candidate to be sent down to Triple-A.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
