6 years agoThe New York Mets could certainly use bullpen help, as always, and on Tuesday they got some as reliever Anthony Swarzak returned after a lengthy absence. Swarzak missed a little over two months with an oblique injury, pitching in only two games prior after he signed a two-year contract with the Mets this past winter. In his comeback outing, Swarzak got the call in the ninth inning in a 2-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles, allowing a walk and striking out one. Swarzak is likely to see high-leverage situations often, making him an intriguing candidate in leagues that use holds as a scoring category.--John Smith
