7 years agoNew York Mets reliever Anthony Swarzak is dealing with a sore left oblique, and while all parties involved were hoping it was nothing, it ended up being serious enough to land him on the 10-day disabled list. Oblique injuries can be very, very tricky (and it’s the Mets we’re talking about here), so there remains a chance Swarzak could be out longer than the minimum requirement of time. It’s a big blow to the Mets bullpen, who seemed to be relying on Swarzak in a direct setup role to closer Jeurys Familia. The guess right now would be that reliever A.J. Ramos would take the mantle for the setup role until Swarzak returns. Hansel Robles has been added to the bullpen in place of Swarzak, but he carries no fantasy value.--John Smith
