Anthony Volpe Hits Second Homer Of Season Wednesday
3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop prospect Anthony Volpe hit his second homer of the season on Wednesday for Double-A Somerset. Volpe, the top prospect in the Yankees' organization and eighth-ranked MLB prospect per MLB Pipeline, is off to a slow start in 2022. He is slashing just .154/.261/.359 with two homers, seven RBI, and eight runs scored over 39 at-bats in 10 games. Despite the slow start, Volpe now has two HR and five RBI over his last three games. Considered the Yankees shortstop of the future, we should see Volpe in the Bronx to begin the 2023 season. He should already be rostered in all dynasty formats.
