7 years agoLos Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said veteran tight end Antonio Gates will practice on Wednesday. However, Lynn said the team will see where Gates is conditioning-wise before deciding if he'll play in Week 1 against the Chiefs. “I don’t want to put him in a position where he goes out and hurts himself, and then it sets us back four or five weeks,” Lynn said. Gates is worth stashing as a touchdown-dependent TE2 to begin the season with Hunter Henry (knee) out at least half the season.
