Antonio Gibson Could See Boost With QB Change
4 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson has seen his role in the offense increase since Week 1 and could get an additional boost with Kyle Allen starting at QB versus the Rams. Gibson is averaging 11 carries and four targets per game but has two games with 13 carries as the team has looked to get the dynamic rookie more involved. Allen started 13 games for Carolina last season so he know's Ron Rivera's offense and has a history of targeting running backs in the pass game. Rivera compared Gibson to Christian McCaffrey after the draft and while Gibson won't be as good as the All-Pro McCaffrey, he should see the ball plenty in this matchup and is a solid starter as an RB2 in fantasy.
