Antonio Gibson Has Eyes On Breakout Season
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson expects big things from himself in 2021, setting his sights on surpassing 1,000 rushing yards. In an interview with Washington Football Today, Gibson said, "That was something I really wanted. This year, I'm priding myself on surpassing that." Gibson went on to say, "last year was a learning process, and this year, I should be on my toes." Ironically, turf toe caused Gibson to miss two games late in 2020, and it is something he has still been dealing with this offseason. Being projected as the workhorse RB, Gibson must stay healthy for the entirety of the 2021 season to achieve this goal. Gibson is well worth his current draft price in the middle of the second round, as he potentially sports the most upside out of any pick in this range. Gibson has RB1 potential in the 2021 season.
