Antonio Gibson Sets Sights On 2,000 Scrimmage Yards
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson has set some lofty goals to achieve in the 2021 season. In a recent interview, the 23-year-old told Ty Dunne that he has his sights set on 1,200 yards rushing with 12+ touchdowns and 2,000 yards from scrimmage. Gibson has generated a lot of hype this offseason and has been identified by many as the next breakout fantasy running back. In what should be an improved offense this season, the former Memphis standout has the potential to vault into the elite class of running backs in 2021. The sophomore should have an increased role as a receiver and will be the team's go-to option in short-yardage situations after Peyton Barber was released. Gibson should have some favorable game scripts because of Washington's elite defense, so fantasy managers can expect some more consistency this season. For now, he can be considered a lower-end RB1 in fantasy with the potential for more.
