5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Antonio Gibson is embracing the comparison to Christian McCaffrey as someone who can stand out as both a running back and receiving threat. New Redskins coach Ron Rivera coached the Panthers star for the past two seasons, so it's easy to see Gibson being used similarly. While it's unfair to expect the rookie to step on the field and be an All-Pro, Gibson will be a matchup nightmare for defenses as they will never know if Gibson will line up in the backfield or as a receiver, his primary position in college. Last season, Gibson scored eight receiving touchdowns and four rushing, so expect the Swiss Army knife to contribute in a variety of ways despite sharing a backfield with Adrian Peterson, Derrius Guice, and J.D.
