6 years agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Antti Niemi will make his ninth start of the season on Friday against Florida, with Carey Price (lower body) ruled out for at least two games. Niemi has had his moments this season, but he goes into the game with a three-game losing streak, and he looked awful in his last start when he gave up seven goals on 23 shots against Minnesota on Dec. 11 before getting pulled. Niemi has won only one of his five road outing this season and his overall record stands at 4-3-1 with a 4.14 goals-against average and a .876 save percentage.
